The Prolex™ Staph Latex Kit is an innovative and effective kit offering a rapid, sensitive method to distinguish Staphylococcus aureus which possess coagulase (Clumping factor) and/or protein A, from other species of staphylococci.
Prolex™ Staph gives rapid clear results within 20 seconds using blue latex particles that are easy to see and understand against a white background.
PRODUCT FEATURES
The Prolex™ Staph Xtra kit utilizes CM-MP particles which have been sensitized with fibrinogen and IgG that are specific for capsular types 5 and 8 of S.aureus.
This means then when staphylococcal colonies which posses at least one of clumping factor, protein A and/or capsular 5 or 8 antigens are mixed with the latex reagent, the blue latex particles agglutinate strongly withing 20 seconds and appears against the white background.
